Ch. Ingwe Sirabi “Sirabi” Sire: Gr Ch Highveld Arana Tama Dam: Ingwe Zaria DOB: 12th April, 1996—16th March, 2010 Hips: 1:2(3) Sirabi has the strongest hunting instinct of the clan and has passed this ability onto her offspring ……...and now to her grandchildren & great grandchildren………….. her 2 days spent down a wombat hole are testimony to her tenacity !! Needless to say, in her younger days, we kept a very close eye on her (and occasionally a lead) to prevent a repeat occurrence. She may be pushing minimum height but she can move ! At the age of 8, having had a few years out of the showring, she attained those final points for her title in grand style, winning BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP !! Her only foray into the Showring nowadays is to attend the RR Specialties as a “Veteran”, showing that she can still move (perhaps a tad slower……….or more dignified), even in her 14th year……………… Monday, 16th March 2010 - this wonderful old lady passed away in my arms. The decision never gets any easier however many dogs share their lives with you but I am comforted by the fact that she is now at peace and that, whenever I hear of the exploits of her great grandchildren, I know she will never be forgotten. RIP “Barbie doll” ** Photo below was taken at the RR Club (Vic) Championship Show on Feb 28th, 2010 of “Sirabi” parading in the Veteran’s Class. Hard to believe that 2 weeks later she would be gone…………………. |

Ingwe Wonderwoman “Zeko” Sire: Gr Ch Highveld Arana Tama Dam: Ingwe Zena DOB: 29th June, 1999 - 15th October, 2010 Hips: 4:2(6) Elbows: 0:0 Zeko, now in her 11th year, is the “talker” of the clan and will always volunteer an opinion to anyone who will listen. She had a few wins (Best Headed Bitch at the RR Show in 2002), gathered a few points towards her title but much preferred staying at home. She is one of the Ridgies that always comes out with me when I go horse riding, enjoying all the new sights & smells the bush has to offer.............and I dread the day when I have to leave her at home. Friday 15th October, 2010 - Zeko was diagnosed with Masticatory Myositis in July last year and had been on daily doses of cortisone for many months before her body went into melt down and tests revealed a thyroid problem. More pills prescribed and, we thought we had it under control, but then her lowered immunity caused the mites (always present, even in healthy dogs) to multiply and no amount of medication was working. Another hard decision had to be made and at 5pm, on Friday, whilst laying in my arms at home, Zeko took her last breath. She has been laid to rest beside her old mate, Sirabi.............RIP Zeko, the horse rides will never be the same without you. |

Ingwe High Flyer “Diza” Sire: Ch Dinizulu Kushinda Dam: Ch Ingwe Sirabi DOB: 26th February, 2001 Hips: 4:5(9) Elbows: 1:1 Diza is the smoocher and the smiler and likes nothing better than putting her head in your lap for a little bit of loving...........and, if, after awhile you try and ignore her, the paw comes up to remind you she is still there ! A trait she has passed on to her children along with the good front, good movement and excellent topline. She has always preferred the bush to the Showring (though managed to show some sparkle when awarded Runner Up in Show at the RR Open Show in 2004 & Best Neutered at the RR Championship Show in 2008) and still accompanies me when I go horse riding............which I hope will continue for many more years.
